<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">DHARAMKOT (Moga): To outwit his opponent Zora Singh Mann of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in the parliamentary elections in Ferozepur, Congress candidate Jagmeet Brar has invented a novel device. To extract optimum benefit of his art of eloquence while speaking in the Lok Sabha, Brar has released on Friday a video cassette of his speeches to be exhibited in the rural area while campaigning.<br /><br />If the cassette tried to convince the voters of Brar''s public speaking skills, it would ridicule Mann for his failure to utter even a single word in Parliament in his last two terms.<br /><br />"Mann is fooling the people by promising them moon and stars claiming that he would raise various issues pertaining the development of the area in Parliament but it was his fate that he could never muster courage to speak even a single word in Parliament." This is the crux of Jagmeet''s speech while lambasting his rival.<br /><br />Such is the condition of Mann Sahib that during his last two terms in Parliament he could not even formally introduce himself, ridiculed Jagmeet.<br /><br />So what the people of this area should expect of him.<br /><br />To cash in on this disability of Mann, Jagmeet is seeking people''s support for his competency of being a good orator and raising the local issues in Parliament.<br /><br />Launching his campaign formally at Bhinder Kalan village of Dharamkot assembly segment on Friday, Jagmeet released the video cassette of his speeches.

The cassettes would be shown by his supporters in rural areas during the campaigning period.<br /><br />On Friday, Jagmeet took another significant step to overcome his party''s handicap in this area. Dharamkot, which is considered to be an Akali stronghold where the Congress always lost. So in his endeavour to win over the panthic votes, on Friday Jagmeet chose Bhinder Kalan village for formal launch of his campaign. Bhinder Kalan village has an important place in Akali politics for origin of Bhinderawali Taksal here.<br /><br />Starting his campaign from Gurdarshan Parkash Gurdwara in the village, Jagmeet said his priority after winning would be the development of border area and opening of Hussainiwala Indo-Pak border to give a boost to trade.<br /><br />Saying corruption would be one of the major issues, he alleged that the Akali Dal under the leadership of Parkash Singh was entrenched in corruption and most of its leaders were facing criminal cases for being corrupt and plundering people.<br /><br /><formid=526372></formid=526372></div> </div>
